Oxygen Requirements & Configuration

For 2 ATA protocols, two 10 LPM oxygen concentrators are typically required. In some cases, individual needs may require increasing pressure up to 2.2 ATA, which is why we recommend adding the O₂ Boost for optimal performance.

For 3 ATA protocols, a third 10 LPM concentrator is required along with the O₂ Boost, bringing total oxygen flow to 30 LPM.

We work directly with OxyHealth Hyperbaric Chambers and Oxidation Technologies to ensure a seamless ordering, setup, and ongoing support process.

Oxygen Concentrator Options

Home Use

For home environments, we typically recommend the Pro-10 Oxygen Concentrator. It offers an excellent balance of performance and value and is well-suited for residential use in controlled, low-impact settings.

Oxygen Pressure Boost Option:

Do you want to use an oxygen concentrator to supply your new hard shell hyperbaric chamber, but can't seem to keep the flow up when the pressure increases?  The standard 10 LPM oxygen concentrator may be rated to produce up to 20 psi, but when used to supply oxygen to hard shell hyperbaric chambers, the flow dwindles and will stop before getting there.  On top of the pressure within the chamber, the concentrator needs to overcome check valves as well, and there just is not enough pressure available.  A properly sized boost compressor can solve this problem and allow any oxygen concentrators you have available to provide the pressure you need. This boost compressor is a good option if you have a number of concentrators that are not doing the job of getting oxygen into your chamber.  The O2 Boost comes with DISS fittings that are used with supplying hyperbaric chambers.

What is Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA):

Clean, dry compressed air is fed into the first molecular sieve bed. Nitrogen is adsorbed, while oxygen is allowed to flow through.  When the sieve in the first bed becomes full of nitrogen, the airflow is then directed into the second bed.  As the second bed separates the oxygen from the nitrogen, the first bed vents its nitrogen into the atmosphere.  Compressed air is once again fed into the first bed, and the process is repeated continuously.  A constant flow of oxygen is reliably produced.

The TOX-40MP is provided with built-in air compressors and requires only electrical power for operation.

Note: Standard power configuration is a L14-20P cord end for a 220v with neutral.  This will automatically be used if not stated otherwise in the electrical power options below:

The TOX-40MP oxygen concentrator provides oxygen pressures of 50 PSI continuously at an oxygen flow of 40 SCFH with a nominal oxygen purity of > 90%.

The TOX-40 MP is a turnkey unit with a built-in air compressor, boost compressor, and necessary buffer tanks to produce 40 SCFH of oxygen and boost to 50 PSI of delivery pressure for downstream applications.

Note - if the environment gets above 95 deg F and standing water is present on nearby surfaces or floor, provision must be made to remove excess moisture from the air.

Features:

Dependable:

The TOX-40MP is built to provide thousands of hours of continuous, reliable service.  Compressed air is filtered and cooled with an auto drain system to remove condensed moisture from the compressed air system.  This ensures longer life for the zeolite sieve material in the unit.

Rebuildable:

The greatest advantage of the TOX-40MP is the entire unit is rebuildable.  This unit will serve you for many years with only minimal maintenance.  The sieve beds are replaceable, or rebuildable, valves can be cleaned or replaced.  The TOX-40MP will serve in your application for as long as you choose to maintain it.

We offer each replacement part for the TOX-40MP, and keep each in stock.

Economical:

Oil-less air compressors are used to provide compressed air for the oxygen concentrator sieve beds and boost oxygen to 50 PSI.  These compressors run efficiently and consume less power than industrial oxygen concentrators that require 90 PSI of incoming air pressure for operation.

Due to the fact the TOX-40MP can be rebuilt or repaired this unit will never be completely replaced with new.  This saves costs long-term versus alternative models that cannot be rebuilt and are replaced when parts are worn or zeolite requires replacement.  The TOX-40MP is a very economical oxygen generator to operate over the long term.

Made in the USA:

The TOX-40 is manufactured, assembled, and tested entirely in the USA.

Compressed Air:

The TOX-40MP can be equipped with internal air compressors.  Small oil-less compressors are provided to provide compressed air required for oxygen production.  Two small 1/3 hp compressors are provided.  Compressors are reliable and require a rebuild after 8,000 hours of operation.   A final boost compressor is used to boost oxygen pressures from the standard 20 PSI to 50 PSI for higher pressure applications.

The internal compressed air option also includes air coolers and a 2-stage air filtration system to maintain great quality compressed air for the oxygen concentrator modules. Air coolers remove heat from the compressed air prior to filtration with 2-state filters with moisture drains to remove condensed moisture from the compressed air. By drying and filtering the compressed air the oxygen concentrator modules will last longer and provide higher purity of oxygen in more humid environments. This feature is unique to the TOX-Series and not available in competitor models.

-Oxygen purity alarm - built-in oxygen purity alarm will sound an alarm and illuminate a light  to indicate oxygen purity is below 80%

-Rebuildable - easy to rebuild system with all replaceable parts and components

-Automated - system is automated and will maintain oxygen pressure in the tank automatically.  System will sit in stand-by but ready for operation when pressure in the tank is above 90 PSI

-Simple power requirements Standard power configuration is a L14-20P cord end for a 220v with neutral. 220 VAC, 50 Hz power also available upon request.

OXM-100H Oxygen Purity Meter

Fixed oxygen analyzer measures oxygen purity from 0-100%.

Perfect for verifying oxygen purity from your oxygen generator real-time.

The OXM-100H is designed to verify oxygen purity from your oxygen generator real-time from 0-100%.  Simply mount this unit next to your oxygen generator and plumb your oxygen to flow through this unit to verify the oxygen purity. This unit has indicator lights for the oxygen purity level and has relay alarms when the oxygen purity is low.

An oxygen flow of only 0.5 SCFH is required to measure oxygen purity.  A needle valve and flowmeter are built-in to regulate and indicate oxygen flow through the oxygen purity meter.

The principle of operation uses ultrasound technology to measure oxygen purity.  The speed of the ultrasound varies with the oxygen purity and temperature.  This unit measures oxygen purity by ultrasound transit time and corrects this value for temperature.  This allows a reliable and consistent oxygen purity measurement with no sensor to replace.

The most important factor in your ozone systems reliability is the feed-gas quality provided to your ozone generator.  If the oxygen purity is kept above 85%, and this is a clean, dry stream your ozone generator will require less maintenance and offer many years of reliable operation.  The cost of an inline oxygen monitor is a very reasonable insurance in your complete system, and may pay for itself many times over.

Specifications:

  • Measure oxygen purity from 0-100%
  • Integrated display, large LCD display with alarm for low oxygen purity
  • Relay alarm for low oxygen purity set to 88%
  • 4*--20 mA output standard
  • Optional remote monitoring (wireless monitoring & data logging kit)
  • Optional visual strobe light
  • Optional audible alarm

Installation Diagrams:

The OXM-100H Oxygen Purity Meter is installed directly after the oxygen concentrator and requires a small flow of oxygen (0.5 SCFH) to flow through the unit to measure oxygen purity accurately real-time.

Installation:

The OXM-100H Oxygen Purity Meter is installed on a side-stream of oxygen flow.

Only 0.5 SCFH of oxygen is used to pass through the OXM-100H.  A needle valve is included with the OXM-100H to regulate oxygen flow through the unit.

Options:

Various optional equipment is available for the OXM-100H.  See details below for information.

Strobe Light:

An optional strobe light can be installed on the unit as a virtual indicator when oxygen purity is below 88% (custom set-points available).  The strobe will be integrated on the enclosure and be wired and ready for operation.

Audible Alarm:

An optional audible alarm can be installed on the unit to alert when oxygen purity is below 88% (custom set-points available).

Wireless Monitoring & Data Logging Kit

Use the Wireless Monitoring & Data logging Kit with your fixed mount monitor to connect it to the internet allowing access from anywhere. Receive Instant notifications with free text and email alerts. This is a great addition for your fixed mount gas detector.
